South vent stopped erupting at 10:25 p.m. on Sunday, May 25. The summit has stopped deflating. Tremor is greatly reduced. Episode 23 of the ongoing Halema'uma'u eruption has ended. Vents and cooling lava flows will continue to glow. View All Messages.

Sount vent fountains are now up to 800 ft (250 m) while north vent fountains are down to 500 ft (150 m) in height as of 7:15 p.m., Sunday, May 25. The UWD tiltmeter has recorded about 7 microradians of deflation in the past 2.5 hours. View All Messages.
