South Staffordshire Community Lottery
Support Our Cause!
South Staffordshire Community Lottery is a weekly lottery that directly supports local good causes and community initiatives.
Lotteries are a fun and effective way for causes to raise much-needed funds in these difficult times. By getting more people on board, they don’t just raise funds, they also raise awareness.
When you play South Staffordshire Community Lottery you know that 60% of your ticket price goes to good causes (more than DOUBLE what the National Lottery gives) AND the money raised is going to good causes that benefit your local community.
Proceeds generated from this page go into a general good cause fund, administered by South Staffordshire Council, which will be spent on providing vital support to a wide range of local organisations and community initiatives which have a beneficial impact on the local community.
You can find out how the council allocate grants to local good causes via their website:

A Child of Mine
Support Our Cause!
The aim of A Child of Mine is to help, support and inform those who have suffered the loss of a child, from whatever cause. We also work with young people who have lost a family member and need our support and understanding. We do this through connecting with parents and families via our information leaflets and our website: www.achildof mine.org.uk. We also work closely with hospitals and professionals, so they are able to pass on our details to families that have lost a child, to enable us to help in whatever way we can.
Your help would enable us to continue to grow the charity and to reach more families and professionals. It would also help us to continue and expand the serviecs and clubs we provide for our service users.
We have recently set up a support group for the charity called 'A Child of Mine Champions'. Our aim is to work together to raise funds to enable the charity to continue and grow its services. Our intention is to work together on a friendly basis enabling our members to meet new people whilst supporting a good cause. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.
We hope you will support us and good luck with the lottery!
Yours sincerely,
Catherine Andrews (Mrs) - Secretary for A Child of Mine and ACOM Champion

Codsall Village Hall and Playing Fields Charity Ltd
Support Our Cause!
Codsall Village Hall and Playing Fields Charity Ltd provides a much loved and valued home for 35 groups within the community.
Built in the 1960's, extended and altered from time to time, it is now showing its 53 years, and requires some serious money to carry out improvements.
Having raised funds to refurbish the ladies toilets, we now need to do the same for the gentlemen's facilities at a cost of £12,000.
Other less pressing items include redecoration, upgrading the bar area, improving IT access in the Pavilion, and new curtains for the lounge and stage.
40,000 people use our building every year. Please join South Staffordshire Lottery and nominate Codsall Village Hall as your Good Cause.
We need your help so we can continue to offer excellent premises for all our hirers.
Thank you for your support and good luck!

We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our service!
We want to provide facilities for young people that they should be proud of and want to come to. We are developing a site in Hazel Lane, Great Wyrley that has containers as changing rooms with no heating, lighting or running water. We have received planning permission and we are trying to raise £500k build costs. Every penny counts as we strive to provide 900 young people with excellent facilities.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
Yours sincerely,

Rockspur CIC
Support Our Cause!
Hi - my name is Nick Morris and I would quickly like to tell you a little bit about the fantastic service I have the privilege of working for and who could really use your support through this brilliant initiative.
Rockspur CIC, based in Codsall, South Staffordshire are a user led, not for profit, Community Interest Company. Rockspur CIC run 2 day opportunities and a supported living project - Rockspur, Milestonez and Rockspur House - that are a much loved and valued service for members of our community who have learning disabilities aged 18-65+.
Open 7 days and evenings a week, our day opportunities run 30 different sessions per week all over South Staffordshire and Cannock, 52 weeks a year.
All our sessions are based on improving independence, self confidence, personal safety, resilience and encouraging community presence so our Members avoid isolation from the world we passionately believe they should be very much a part of.
We need your help so we can sustain our service. The day opportunities, supported holidays, day trips, transport all comes with a financial cost that we try to avoid passing onto our Members if we can. We receive no sponsorship and rely on fundraising to ensure our Members are a very visible presence in our local and wider community.
Where will your money go? This year, for example, we need to change our vehicle, buy new tents, buy items for the sessions, give our Members the opportunity to go on a holiday through us having the money to fund staff members to go. The list goes on.
Please join the South Staffordshire Lottery today and choose Rockspur as your good cause.
Help us ensure that adults with learning disabilities continue to be a vital part of our community with same right to choice and representation as everybody else!
Thank you for your support and good luck!
Yours sincerely,
Nick
