teens LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Ages: 13+
Introducing an opportunity to gain valuable leadership and job experience training in the field of Parks, Recreation & Libraries. Beginning in June, participants in the Leadership Development Program (LDP), receive valuable training followed by an opportunity to help in summer programs, camps and classes.

Participants interested in joining LDP must complete the program interest application and include a letter of recommendation. After submission of the application and letter of recommendation, candidates are contacted to attend a brief interview. Following interviews, selected candidates are placed at a variety of program sites.

Selected candidates pay an course fee which includes:
* Leadership Development Program t-shirt (to be worn while on duty)
* Name tag
* 10 hours of training
* Up to 50 hours of job experience training during summer programming

Enrollment in the program is after the selection process has been completed. There are minimal spots available, and the candidates meeting the needs of the program will be selected.

Note not all applicants are selected for the program. Applicants are invited to an interview, and selected based on program needs. LDP has limited spots. After selected candidates have been placed in the program, payment for the course fee is required.
