Scammers don't take a break during the summer months, don't let them prey on your identity. Now is a great time to protect your family by registering for an Identity Protection Pin. An IP PIN is a six-digit number that prevents someone else from filing a tax return using your SSN or ITIN. The IP PIN is known only to you and the IRS and helps verify your identity when you file your electronic or paper tax return. https://ow.ly/Xa2e50W6cJl

Taxpayer Advocate Service reposted this
I was pleased to welcome Tom Wolf, a dedicated TAP member from Canton, Ohio, to Washington, D.C., where he was attending the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Empowering Local Leadership Conference on taxpayer issues. Tom was joined by his son Tommy, a rising high school junior. We discussed taxpayer rights, advocacy initiatives, and ways to improve the experience for individuals navigating the tax system.

Don't get caught up in the summer buzz, there are several key filing dates for many taxpayers. For our International Taxpayers do not forget to file by June 16. For those who make quarterly estimated tax payments, the next deadline to pay is also June 16. Stay compliant all year long by keeping track of important dates. https://ow.ly/SFaZ50W3tPF 🐝

If you received an IRS Notice CP 81, it's important to follow all the steps on the notice so you don't miss out on a refund you're eligible for. CP81 is sent when the IRS received payments or credits for the tax year shown on your notice, but they have not received a tax return for that year. If your return is not filed you could lose out on the refund. https://ow.ly/t4cx50W3lZZ

Did you receive IRS Notice CP11? You may have received this because the IRS received your individual income tax return and determined you have a balance due. A CP11, Math Error on Return – Balance Due, notice is issued when there is a mistake on your return that resulted in a balance due of five dollars or more.
