Government Type: Charter City, operating under the council-manager form of municipal government Location: Roseville is located 405 miles north of Los Angeles, 102 miles northeast of San Francisco, and 16 miles north of Sacramento, the state capital County: Placer Area: 42.26 square miles Elevation: 165 feet above sea level Climate & Rainfall: Roseville is located on the eastern edge of the Sacramento Valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Because of its proximity to the foothills, Roseville has slightly different weather averages from Sacramento.

  • Celebremos! In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, #TeamRoseville gathered to learn more about the traditions, foods, and artwork of six different Latin American countries.   • The City of Roseville is a proud partner in the 4,245-acre Raccoon Creek Ranch preserve, a major milestone for conservation in western Placer County. City representatives were honored to attend today’s conservation and restoration kick-off event.

    The Placer County Conservation Program (PCCP) hosted a Raccoon Creek Ranch conservation and restoration kickoff event today to celebrate the permanent protection and restoration of 4,245 acres of prime farmland, open space and streams north of Lincoln. Leaders from the PCCP, Placer Conservation Authority, our Board of Supervisors, Placer Land Trust, City of Lincoln, CA, Placer County Water Agency, Ecosystem Investment Partners and more came together today to celebrate and enjoy the conserved habitat. The Raccoon Creek Ranch project marks one of the most significant conservation milestones in Placer County history: • 4,245 acres permanently protected from development and mining • 1,299 acres of active agricultural production • 6 miles of stream system supporting salmon and steelhead habitat • $61 million total investment in conservation and restoration efforts • Creates one of the largest contiguous blocks of protected land in West Placer County Learn more about the PCCP, Racoon Creek Ranch and our plans to conserve 47,300 acres in West Placer. https://lnkd.in/gUp_KcuU
