NOAA Fisheries will be hosting the fourth National Protected Species Assessment Workshop (PSAW IV) virtually on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, August 14 - September 11, 2025.
Students and teachers are invited to join NOAA Fisheries scientists live from the field on August 20, 2025 as research teams study protected Hawaiian monk seals and green sea turtles in the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument.
This workshop is designed to educate fishermen on the proper techniques for safe handling and release of entangled or hooked protected species, such as sea turtles, marine mammals, smalltooth sawfish, Atlantic sturgeon, and prohibited sharks.
An opportunity for the public to tour a fisheries lab, see our research projects and learn how we serve the shellfish aquaculture industry and the community.
The United States delegation to the Transboundary Management Guidance Committee (TMGC) will meet to hold a public listening session and establish its position for the full meeting of the TMGC.
