Education Department's System of Tiered E-Plans and Supports
The Education Department’s System of Tiered E-Plans and Supports (ED STEPS) is a system that enables educational entities to efficiently and effectively assess needs, plan, and leverage funds to prepare students for a successful future. Built in several stages, ED STEPS fully replaces the Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP). For more information on the various components of ED STEPS, click on a link below.
ED STEPS Planning Cycle
As part of the Ohio Department of Education and Workforces’ ED STEPS system, organizations within Ohio are assigned to one of three cohorts. Each cohort is associated with a starting year for three-year planning which includes evaluating needs and writing a three-year plan. For more information please check out our pages below.

ED STEPS Training: One Needs Assessment & One Plan and Progress Monitoring
Thank you for attending the March 6 webinar training that provided a high-level overview on updating the One Needs Assessment, One Plan and progress monitoring for those educational entities in ED STEPS Cohorts 1 & 3. ED STEPS One Funding Application Training Webinar

ED STEPS One Funding Application Regional Trainings
The Department’s ED STEPS unit hosted in-person training sessions in June, building on the April and May sessions that covered the One Funding Application, system access, navigation, and the grant approval process. The June sessions were live lab formats, offering participants real-time support as they completed their grant applications.
